Not all Insurance adjusters are created equally

Most of us are guilty of picking up pen, phone or E-mail when we are dissatisfied, to complain. Your article: “Be wary following disaster” made me realize that we should do the same when compliments are due. I have (had) a first floor powder room, with upholstered walls, and ceiling. I don’t know how long I had a leak from a second floor shower, but it was all camouflaged by the fabric. Last week the whole ceiling collapsed. I called my plumber, Chris Fraioli of Lightbody Plumbing & Heating who was in seventh Heaven, “I don’t have the luxury often, He said, to see all the pipes exposed. The shower pan need to be replaced.”

I called my insurance Co. Murray, Schoen & Homer and “filed a claim” on the phone . The following morning, Frank Serino adjuster (angel in disguise) arrived with camera, tape measure and ready smile, to asses the damage. The same afternoon estimate was Faxed to me. Two pages listing every detail(some that I would have noticed only after work started). Then a follow up call to inquire if I find the estimate in order. Disasters happens, what follows shouldn’t be one.
