The National Flood Insurance Program
Recent events have brought the issue of flooding and flood insurance to the forefront. Many people are not aware that their homeowner or other property insurance policy will not cover them in the event of a flood.
You do not have to be in a high risk area to need or purchase the coverage. Flood Insurance is easy to obtain and easy to quote so don’t wait until it is too late. In fact, under most circumstances you have to wait 30 days from the time the premium and application are received by the company to be covered.
